TANSEY PARK. TANSEY DRIVE, TANAH MERAH
Situated in Brisbanes southern suburbs Tansey Park has existed for approximately 5 years. The Logan City councils wish to change the Alexander Clark Park venue into Parkland. resulted in the birth of the Cobras new "den"The Sporting club was offered "old for new" as a carrot to relocate and accepted,opting for a lengthy lease arrangement.
Below is a picture of the new clubhouse. Approximately 400 square metres in size, and situated on an elevated pad of soil. This was necessary to put the buiding above the 1974 flood level (The ground sits beside the Logan River) , the elevation makes for wonderful viewing. The carpark is bitumen with kerbing border.Clubs include- Cobras seniors, Cobras juniors,Loganholme Cricket club, Fishing Club and Weightwatchers club. thanks to a goverment work for the dole scheme grant the clubhouse pad is being terraced, work is expected to be completed soon.
The sporting club is currently preparing an informative booklet , and expect to be on the World Wide Web soon.
