Alinco has released it's first ever (as far as I know) dedicated Table-Top HF Communications Receiver. This is welcome news for Shortwave Radio listeners. | AOR AR7070 News June 2010 In a surprise announcement, AOR has closed its UK offices and handed its selling and servicing of AOR products to Waters and Stanton. It is unclear what this means for the future AOR AR-7070 receiver which was being designed and was to be manufactured in the UK. Thanks to Howard Cowan of the United Kingdom for this information March 2010 Some information has been gained about the design of the AOR AR-7070 from this web site including a photo of some circuitry and the possibility of a 25 Kilohertz wide real time spectrum display. 2009 "Several pre-production units have been built and working, but the internal operational firmware needs to be finalised before we move to production. More details will be available closer to release." 7 May 2009 I've placed the sketch on this page, but as always... 1) This might not be the official design or have anything to do with AOR! 2) Designs do change in manufacturing, due to the availability of parts!
