Written for the Friday Drabble Challenge on Lifein1973 Friday 12 February 2010.  Prompt: Dinner.

"It's Valentine's Day you know."

"Load of commercial bollocks."

"Maybe, but it's the day for lovers."

"So?"

"So, we're lovers aren't we?"

"Suppose."

"Look, Gene, I know you're not the most romantic person in the world and I'm not either but I thought we could do something to celebrate it."

"Such as?"

"Dinner for two at a nice restaurant?  Maybe Italian?  You like Italian."

"We'll look like lovers."

"I want to have a decent dinner and share a bottle of wine with my lover.  Is that too much to ask?"

"...Guess not."

"Good.  Let's go!  I've got it all booked!"
