Drabble: A Northern Fairy Tale

Written for the Weekend Drabble Challenge on Lifein1973 Saturday 17 July 2010.  Prompts: All seven of The Seven Deadly Sins.

Once upon a time there was a detective who lived in a large city up north.  A big, fair-headed man, he called himself the sheriff.  Every day the sheriff would survey his territory and put right the wrongs.

One day along came another detective with methods strange indeed and who disobeyed his orders.  The good sheriff decided that the man needed a lesson.

He discovered that the man prided himself not only on his cookery but his shagging skills too.

The canny-but-envious sheriff took full advantage of both and the man became putty in his hands - well after hours anyway.
