Grudge

Milleniums of mutual animosity was about to spill over into savage carnage. The Harlequin Masque arrived barely in time to try and prevent the runaway raid by the Dark Eldar Pirates. Even though the sleek cruisers of each race were docked on differing sides of the massive Hulk, they offered no safe haven against lightning fast assaults.

The Dark Eldar had trailed the Hulk for weeks, waiting for it to enter a calm place in real-space. Waiting to leap on board the ancient vessel and capture a rumoured bounty of tasty souls. Only by chance they were discovered, as a Harlequin Shadowseer isolated a distant cry of pain. An emergency signal from a time past, reacting to an immediate threat. The mysterious Harlequin move to their own whims, and had decided that this dance was one that they would enjoy performing. For the despised Dark Eldar were outcast, and drunk only from the fountain of evil. The Harlequin were preparing to dance at close quarters, to see the fear and despair in the eyes of each audience member, to bow and take applause for their skill of shredding an opponent's life with practised grace. However, the Dark Eldar were not planning on being a gracious audience and were preparing for a few surprises of their own...

Most intelligent Humans would regret that there was no bard hiding in the echoed corridors. For they would enjoy the re-told tale of a skirmish fuelled by an unnatural grudge. Of how Trouper, Warrior, and Wyche moved faster than the eye could trace, only leaving the occasional slowly forming puddles of blood. Wrecked bodies were discarded as broken props and the scene would shift to another set, another room. Another act, to dance and to kill.

OBJECTIVES

The Harlequins and Dark Eldar are both trying to sabotage each other's ship. To do this, they must escape at least one member of their force from the opposing side of the Hulk. Once a model has escaped it can move speedily towards the enemy cruiser and detonate high powered charges to blow away any chance of escape.

FORCES

Harlequins
The Harlequin player has 35 Points to purchase his Force.

Dark Eldar
The Dark Eldar player has 35 Points to purchase his Force.

DEPLOYMENT

Each Force begins play lurking outside their own entry areas. The Forces may be split up between the three entry areas as desired by the player controlling the Force.

A player is never required to enter any models in play at all on any turn. The player has total freedom to lurk as many models as he wishes, although once a model has entered play on the board, it can not return to lurk.

The Dark Eldar move first.

VICTORY

The first player to exit a model out of his exit area wins.

Any other result is a draw.

Note that each player must choose carefully between how many models he uses to attack, and how many he uses to defend. Both players are trying to breach each other's defences, so there should be a good opportunity for many tactical duels.
