DEDICATIONS
The Te Mana Combat
System bears several dedications:
In the
first instance, the system is dedicated to the Founder's son, Mathew
Robert Tu. Brook Tu began designing the System as a way of teaching
Mathew the 'Tools of the Trade' - i.e. Combat Principles, Skills,
Tactics and Training.
In the second instance, the System is dedicated to
the Tu Family of Te Karaka, Puha, Gisborne, New Zealand. Mr Tu is the
youngest of
five siblings and respectfully defers familial authority over the
system to his eldest brother, Wepiha.
Next, the system is dedicated to Te Aitanga a
Maahaki - the founder's own tribe and to his own hapus, at Takipu and
Tapuihikitia.
The Te Mana Combat System is also dedicated to the
many
teachers who taught and inspired Mr Tu and helped him to come to the
understanding he has, of combat craft - including his stepfather, Mr
Robert Bailey Dures.
Finally, the system is dedicated to it's own
students - To those people who are the backbone and the life-blood of
the style. It is the Founder's hope that these peole will always be
aware of his gratitude and affection for the supporters of his work.
