Fasthorses adopts a personalized approach to analysing pedigrees. Every racehorse is an individual and every breeder's requirements are unique.
More than a computer program, the Fasthorses system carefully appraises all aspects of your mare's pedigree: sifts through the patterns within it, identifies positive and negative nicks and balances these against the dynamics of the family. After careful consideration, five of the most compatible stallions are hand-picked for your mare.
Going beyond the marketing which is commonly aimed at breeders, Fasthorses tracks down the most accurate sources of information about stallions and bloodlines from around the world.
This information is then available for the broodmare owner who has a better understanding of the forces at work in their mares pedigree, and of the stallions chosen for her.
Broodmare reports are available in various degrees of detail.
1. Broodmare Reports
Normally sent out by mail this report is very detailed and it discusses
various aspects of your mare's pedigree along with the stallions selected for
her.
Some of the aspects of this report include:-
1. A brief discussion about your mare's family and the better horses produced by it.
2. An explanation of the methodology used in appraising a pedigree.
3. Influential ancestors are then highlighted and notes about their lives and
characteristics they transmitted to their descendants is provided. This gives the broodmare
owner a better understanding of the forces at work within the pedigree and how
this relates to their mare.
4. Patterns within the pedigree are then discussed and helpful suggestions given
as to what strains are worth targeting for reinforcement.
5. Five suitable stallions are then chosen and rated for your mare and detailed
in order of suitability. ($400.00)

short summaries are provided on the strengths of each mating. Seven
generation pedigrees help to illustrate each stallion recommendation.
This report is similar to the full report, but the detailed analysis of the broodmare's pedigree is omitted. ($300.00) inc.GST

Catalogues
Fasthorses will look through catalogues and identify those yearlings with the most compatible pedigrees for you. On seeing a great looking yearling at the sales, other clients will ring up for Fasthorses opinion on its pedigree while other clients who maybe considering joining a syndicate, will need an independent view about the merits of the yearlings mating before proceeding.
