	Linhof meets Razzle and becomes another Obsession!

What to do with an old beaten up Linhof 617?

To gewt infinity focus using the Caltar 90mm f8 required a little ingenuity with the focus helical in order to obtain infinity focus, as the original SA f5.6 had departed. As the helical was slogged out, I dismantled and machined all the running surfaces, removing a little metal here and there. I managed to overcome the worn surfaces and pull the unit back far enough to obtain exact infinity focus using a favourite lens of mine, the Caltar (Schneider) 90mm f8.

As the film advance/interlock mechanism was totally shot, I just removed it .....back to the film window number register for this ol' girl....more accurate and totally foolproof.

I added a Custom shop release to boot.


	Notice the rubber grommet where the useless old counter system once lived.....a re-design of one pressure plate, now the film advance is simply 'watch the numbers go by'...2, 5 8 and 11, so no more film jamming...What you might call Linhof meets Razzle and becomes another 'Obsession'




	And making 'YouTube' videos is not without its problems......
