Razzlok

Entirely of my own design,  the new innovation back in 2008 was the Razzlok II, a  low profile device measuring only 20mm in thickness and spring loaded to hold a standard 4x5 double dark in less than a second.   A slip in ground glass screen tops off the Razzlok, giving it simplistic operation.  A camera such as the Razzle should remain a simple device,   so any useless appendage introduced in an attempt to justify a high price has been avoided.

All Razzles now have the option of having an interchangeable back system so you can swap backs anytime......

Shown above is Michal's limited edition 900 kit. It features a Razzlok 2 (with a ground glass screen fitted),  a Razzlok 3 with the ability to offer the fast insertion of a Grafmatic holder.  The all black 900 LTD edition camera is fitted with a Razzlok 1 with additional adapters suitable for any rollfilm/packfilm holder. Lens is a 150mm f5.6 Rodenstock APO Sironar N.

I have often thought the operation of the old Graflok to be 'like setting a bear trap!'  When compared to the silky smooth action of the Razzlok II, it certainly feels that way. Both backs weigh 350g, both are identical in height, but the Razzlok is faster and much more compact.

The Razzlok II does not accept any holders other than standard double darks and the ground glass screen.

Why would anyone  shoot rollfilm when a much larger 4x5 inch sheet neg is possible....unless it's the 6x12 format!

Research and development of the Polaroid Razzle

Before using the adhesive I selected for attaching the Razzlok adapter to the camera body, I decided to have my research and development team test the product....as you can see, after many attempts to separate the two tennis balls bonded to a plastic handle, the team were unable to destroy the bond.......

Demand has been quite high lately and as a result I've been busy making Razzlok elements!  Here is seen the key parts that go to make up the 4x5 backs.  The material used is predominantly high grade aluminium.  The adapters (not shown here) are fashioned from machine made 19mm MDF.  Bonded together as a unit makes for a very strong, light and durable Razzlok........................................and without any BS

If you have not received a reply to your email inquiry, please try again......things are kinda busy at present and I may have missed your message!.
