The options are....

There are many available options to the Razzle 4x5. Starting with the bodies, there's the 110B style. The 110B has the identical rangefinder to the 900, but the distance between the front standard and the front door when closed is only around 20mm.  This means that when lens/shutter assemblies other than the original 127mm Rodenstock are installed the front element must be removed to allow the camera to close.  Further differences between the two styles of camera also lie in the construction of the front standard and focusing bed/mechanism.

The 900 offers a distance of approximately 30mm between the front standard and door, due to the different design.  This allows later lens types such as Sironar N, APO Sironar, Fujinon W (early type) and others to be fitted without such removal.

The 110A (and the similar Japanese 120 model) must be fitted with the 110B/900 type rangefinder assembly in order to accomodate the 4x5 frame.  The advantage of the 120 is that it's fitted with a Seiko shutter capable of 1/500th of a second shutter speed ( the Prontor stops at 1/300th) and provision for a very small aperture of f90.  The lens fitted to the 120 is a Yashinon 127mm f4.7 four element type that easily equals the performance of the Rodenstock Ysarex found on the 110A/B.

So now for the options.....please note that a slip in ground glass screen is included with all cameras, as well as a left hand cable release socket and cable with all 900 conversions.

Interchangeable Back System

Interchangeable back system includes one back (complete with slip in ground glass screen) of your choice.

Razzlok 4x5 back 1 suits most holders and is supplied with adapters to hold most roll film backs (i.e. Horseman, Singer Graflex etc) and pack film holders that use type 665/667 Fuji FP100 film....I can also supply adapters for the thicker holders such as the Grafmatic and Fuji holders that use 4x5 instant film.

Razzlok 2 is my very compact 4x5 back that only accepts standard double dark holders and the slip in ground glass screen. It is non adjustable and very fast in operation...the most simple and lightweight of all backs!

What you can do...

Remember you can supply a suitable body if you wish...in the case of the 110A the saving would be $150US.

If you already have a 110B the saving would amount to $200US.

If you have a 900, this will save you $100US.

The 900 will only function using a 150mm lens, whereas the 110B can be fitted with a 90mm (Angulon f6.8) a great choice for wide angle street shooting and allows closure without a problem.  You can also have a 135 or 150mm lens fitted, but remember this will require the front element  be unscrewed each time you close the camera.  The Geronar 150mm f6.3  is very compact and does not require removal of the front element when fitted to a 110B. Remember also that the 127mm f4.7 Rodenstock originally fitted to the 110B is a very capable lens.......

Other options

Other options include modifications to alternative models such as the 95 and 110 series non rangefinder models. The fitting of alternative backs such as Horseman, Graflok, Cambo and others can be arranged, just let me know......

The waiting list

I guess the most difficult step in obtaining a Razzle is the wait......I  currently have many LF followers and I endeavour to get their cameras completed ASAP.

(some guys have as many as five Razzles!)

You will be required to exhibit a substantial amount of patience, self control, tenacity, understanding and good humour when ordering and if you fail to get an answer to your queries, please keep trying....I sometimes get quite overwhelmed with inquiries. There seems an ever increasing demand for hand held 4x5 film cameras in this so called digital age, a fact that simply astounds me!

But, please let me know if I can help you!
