Olympus E-PL1 Delay Timer
Use
the 'down' cursor button. Select from 2 or 12 seconds delay. Can be
with or without the anti-shock delay if already set. Page 30 in my
manual.
Heavy tripods can take 2 seconds to stop shaking after a
button press, so 2 seconds is the ideal low limit. Also the shutter
contributes more shake so it would also be best to add 2 seconds of anti-shock delay.
Best to turn off image stabilisation for tripod use, but be assured that exposure times over 2 seconds will automatically turn off the stabilisation anyway.
If using a more flimsy lightweight tripod then it may be best to use the 12 seconds delay timer.
