Ireland and UK Holiday 2015, 12th JuneTopsham in Devon
Started the day by train from Topsham to Lympstone, reason for Lympstone being where the Parsons family seemed to originate though they later moved on to elsewhere in England. One possible reason for their 19th century upheaval was a disastrous fire in Lympstone in those times that destroyed many houses. Found a gravestone or two with the Parsons name and evidently some Parsons still live in town. Slight DNA connection there. Then for the reason to see where the train lines head along the ocean side and often get destroyed by wave action, we next went by train to Newton Abbot. Nothing much to see there, just another English town, pleasant to wander about in. Next aim was to go wandering in Exeter again after lunch but the rain came and it was very heavy rain for a while, so we abandoned that and headed for home to have a quiet afternoon. Some random shots from Lympstone, a small and quiet town.....
