To Topsham in Devon

Left Crawley and crawled from there on English motorways and highways, sometimes managed 80 MPH, mostly much slower, sometimes zeroMPH for minutes at a time. On the way saw Stonehenge off to the right, no photos, you all know what it looks like anyway.

For a morning tea break we stopped at Mere in Wiltshire and found that place interesting and nice to wander in. A local told us which road to drive up to get great views over the countryside. Then back into the mobile traffic jam ending up in Topsham, down the river Exe a bit from Exeter in Devon. Very nice place to wander around, old town plus riverside scenery.

On the M25 parking lot, but this time it is moving, though at 40MPH limit here due to problems up ahead somewhere.......

In Mere, Wiltshire......

From a nearby hill the views around Mere, the "benches" in the hill are reputedly the iron age farming flats.....

Our accommodation in Topsham, the two windows on the left are ours.....

Some shots around Topsham......

Tide is a bit low......

A nesting swan.....

Birds chasing bread crumbs......

In summer the pub car park becomes the sunny beer garden, it also makes it hard for us to find parking out in the surrounding streets......
