In Dublin

More exploring in Dublin, Temple Bar area, Dublin Castle where they were setting up ready to announce referendum results, Christchurch Cathedral, Four Courts, Grafton St to buy some trinkets, St Stephens Green, Merrion Square, next to Tara Street station to catch the train to Howth then home again.

Rainbow roses for sale..... evidently colours injected into the stem as they grow....

I keep collecting shopfronts, this time a bar done in ceramic tiles.....

It seems compulsory to shoot "The" Temple Bar, but this is only one of many bars in the Temple Bar district......

At Dublin Castle, the people were starting to gather to hear the referendum results re gay marriage and minimum age for the president, this square later was chock a block with enthusiastic observers who got what they wanted......

Cautious claims on this shop front.......

George's Street Arcade, oldest shopping centre in Ireland and Europe is the claim, 1881 vintage.....

Sunny day, plenty of streetside dining happening, also note the green postbox, the original colour as England used to have for their postboxes. (Wide angle lens makes things lean at the edges, it really was correctly upright)........

Peaceful park scene in St Stephens Green.......

Plenty of classical architecture as a result of the days that the English ruled the roost......

Anything is possible, you can hire a do-it-yourself bus.......

Next the train to Howth on the coast........

Every town has its abandoned church/abbey/castle it seems and Howth is no exception.....

An overview of the harbour........

You might walk right past it, but that is the railway station, entrance is up those stairs.......
