The story of Sadako reminds me....

Of losing people who were nice to me,

That there were children dying across the sea,

Under their parents eyes which see,

Their children going to be free,

Into the heavens above they flee.

The story of Sadako reminds me....

Of bombs dropping out of the sky

And then people die

As they slowly fade away and die then fly up into the sky very high

When their parents think about them they might give a cry or even sigh.

The story of Sadako reminds me....

The atomic bomb flew through the sky

The children were dying

Their spirits were flying

Hearts were crying as they were dying

The doctors were trying.

The story of Sadako reminds me....

that children in the world are still dying

say ban the bomb throughout the world

and tell the doctors to keep trying

tell any sad parents to stop crying

tell them their children's spirits are flying
