Students in 4M 2000 wrote their own fairy stories....... but some have a familar ring to them.
Once upon a time a young warrior lived in a castle with the King and Queen, servants and soldiers.One day a great army of soldiers attacked the castle. No one was hurt but the castle was badly damamged and the warroir's armour was stolen. When the worrior heard that his armour had been stolen he was very distressed. He was very eager to get his armour back because it was not just any ordinary armour it was made of gold. He won the suit of armour when he tamed the dragon of fire whose name was Incediary. With that he set off on his journey in search of his stolen armour. When he got to the enemy base he found some armour, and put it on so that he could get inside. He had started to look for his armour when he overheard 2 soldiers talking about the golden armour. One of them said: "It was hidden in the cave of darkness." So he stole a horse and went to the beach where the cave was. When he got to the beach he put on the armour that he found so he could get into the cave. There were 2 men guarding the armour so he said to them,"I need to take the armour to the Lord !" So the 2 men let him take the armour back to his castle. When he got back, there was a big party.
Before the earth was made the sun was half ice and half a blazing hot desert. On the blazing hot desert there was no life. On the ice side was a land of ice creatures all types like fuzios, lupes and even dragons. One day an ice dragon mysteriously disappeared into the desert land. This became a ghost story. Three years later, God started to make the earth. Every day the ice half slowly became desert. And the desert part turned into gas lava steaming hot. The ice animals could not take it. The seven days ended and the dragons turned into fire breathing dragons. The dragons could fly so they got away and the lupes and fuzios left the Milky Way. The dragons got to the earth at the time the king’s lived in castles. The dragons were slayed many years past. In a village there was a mountain, on top of the mountain was a great statue of a dragon. The statue was made out of ice. One day a man found a diamond on the ground. He dropped the diamond in his crops and it suddenly grew and it brought wealth to him with money and rice it was really great. When he was travelling on the mountain he saw the dragon statue which had a hole underneath its tongue. He knew what he had to do. He got the diamond and placed it in the dragon’s mouth. The statue broke and out came a dragon. The last ice dragon. It made the sky fill up with rain clouds and all crops grew long and bright. The dragon went underground till the summer passed and the dragon came out. Surely the dragon was the one that mysteriously disappeared into the desert...?
The Piano Dragon by Alf
Once far away in
the dragon land there lived a big mechanical dragon called Zotto. All the other dragons
teased him because he was made of metal and had piano keys for teeth. One day Zotto ran
away from home (he had no wings you see) he came to a clearing surrounded by forest where
he saw the newspaper man who was on his way to a village. When he saw Zotto he backed away
but Zotto just gave him a dollar fifty and sat down to read.The newspaper man hurried on,
but Zotto saw the front page had a picture of a golden feather on it.It said the feather
would whistle to the right music. Zotto put the newspaper down and went to look for a
castle. He found an old one and made it into a house. He went to look for food and saw a
big tower. He had an idea and he used the tower to plug the volcano that was about to
erupt. The lava squirted out the windows and burnt up the tall grass so the berries stood
out. Zotto picked up the berries and went to have a picnic. He thought about the gold
feather and about having no friends. He played a tune on his teeth and heard someone
calling "I’m here! I’m here!" Anyone else would have heard a faint
whistle but Zotto could hear the voice loud and clear. He climbed a hill and saw the gold
feather. It had two little eyes near its tip. It told Zotto it was lonely and he said his
name was Shiny. Zotto wished he could fly home to his mum. Shiny told him to hang on and
in a split-second they were flying. When Zotto got home his fellow dragons were very sorry
and wanted to play with Zotto and Shiny. Zotto was a nice dragon and said yes and they all
lived till the rise of Fang but that is another story.
Lilly and the Lily Pond by Sefan
One morning Lilly was
dancing around the pond on all the lilies. One morning Lilly woke up early to see
her neighbour walk her dog. It is called Wally because it ate lilies. As Lilly was waiting
for Wally to come out for his walk, it started to rain hard. It rained harder than it had
ever done before. Soon it was pouring and the pond was flooded so Lilly jumped out of the
lily flower onto a rock but the rock was so slippery she fell off and got washed under the
patio and into the drain. She was washed away. Lilly found herself in the storm water
drain with a big dog looking at her. It was Wally the dog so he picked Lilly up and took
her back under the patio. Wally was about to have his bath but it stopped raining and
Lilly got up and on the count of three Wally, Lilly and even the neighbour cheered. So we
had Wally barking, Lilly cheering and also the neighbour joined in. From that day on Wally
would always go over to Lillie's pond and Lilly would always go over Wally's house for a
play.
The Three Tasmanian Devils by John
Once upon a time there
were three little Tasmanian Devils. They were growing up and their parents told them to
build themselves a house. They were told to watch out for the TIGER because he was
very strong and liked to eat Tasmanian Devils and lamb chops. The Devils set off to build
their houses. The first Tasmanian Devil built his house of grass. It was very easy to
build. It was also weak. The first Devil wasn't even tired. He went out to have
afternoon tea with his friends. The second Tasmanian Devil built his house of big leaves
and sticks. It took a little while to make the leaves stay together but it still wasn't
very strong, and the Devil wasn't very tired. He went inside and made himself a cup
of tea. The third Tasmanian Devil built his house under the ground. He spent a long
time digging and stamping on the floor and patting the walls so that it was safe. He lined
the hole with sticks to make it extra strong. He was exhausted. When his house was
finished he crawled inside and went straight to sleep.
Once upon a time there was a duck sitting on her eggs. Suddenly the eggs started to hatch. The mother duckling jumped up as the eggs started to hatch. Out came four ducklings, but there was still one egg that had not hatched. So the mother duckling sat on it for a while. Suddenly the egg started to hatch. Out came an ugly duckling. The others said to see if he could he could swim and it did swim in the water. The other ducklings didn't let him play with them. Some days later the mother duck took them to the barnyard to live. The chickens, roosters, cows, horses said he was ugly so the ugly duckling went off to the big world. It came to be winter soon the ugly duckling went duckling went into a hollow tree for winter. When it was spring he went out and saw three swans and the ugly duckling wanted to be dead so he went up to the swans thinking they were going to kill him. So he put his head down waiting for an attack but when he looked in the water he was not a duck. He was a beautiful swan, all the time and one of the swans came over and put his wing over him and some children came and said: "Look there is a new one and he is the most beautiful one of them all."
