        In the Beginning

                  by Caitlin

In the beginning there was only water and a unicorn. The unicorn created darkness and light then he created land, clouds and sky. He created them by poking his long magical horn into the water. Then he created animals and plants but the animals soon got bored so the unicorn created countries with forests and deserts. But the animals soon got bored so the unicorn created a new country called Australia. Then he created some animals to live there and then created some black humans but the animals hated them. After about ten years the unicorn created white humans and they made spears to kill the animals. Now while all that was happening down on earth the unicorn's friend, the dragon, was creating the universe. He created the sun as soon as light was created. Then he created the stars and the moon as soon as darkness was created. Then after about eleven years he created the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto. The dragon went to sleep for two hundred years and when he woke he saw rockets. He was very angry with the unicorn so they had a big bad fight. They both died in the fight leaving horses and narwhales, and they lived happily on forever.

That is why there are are no unicorns or dragons today.

HOW THE WORLD WAS CREATED

by Jonathan

In the beginning, there were four giants.   They decided it was time to make the world.   However, when they finished, the world was too dark. So before they made mankind, they made the sun.  They wanted to make people so much that after they made the sun they went straight onto the moon without stopping to rest.  Because of this, there are two moons.  One shines and the other guides it around the world.

 * * *

One day the giants said to the people, “We are now leaving you,” and they left the people. One went north, one south, one east, and one west. They each became a pole. However, the east and west poles were taken over by some strange force. This awoke the north and south giants.  They discovered quickly that the guide moon wanted to be the best, so he was heading straight for the earth with the bright moon close behind, thinking that that was the way around the world.

“We cannot hold one moon each,” said one giant. The other giant agreed.

“We need to use our power to make an invisible tube around the world,” said one giant. Suddenly, the universe was sucked into a blackboard. The blackboard    blew up, but the fire left no smoke. Instead, it shrunk until it was a frog shape. Then it turned into a frog.  And suddenly, the frog exploded. Its insides turned into specks and those specks grew and blew up. However, they turned into specks AND bits of star, sun and planet. This process repeated until the world was made. Suddenly, the world turned into smoke. And out of the smoke came a blackboard.  It had finished its work with the world. Now it needed someone to let the world out. Suddenly, the smoke made a loud noise. This startled the blackboard so much that it let out the universe. Then the universe was much too small, so the four giants were recreated by the blackboard. They enlarged the universe, then exploded and turned into four humans. However, because of the force that affected the east and west giants, they became monsters. After an amazing effort, the blackboard created the sun, which burned up the monsters because they were big and so close to it. Then, the blackboard turned into another creature, a god. This was because he had done a good deed. It confirmed his place as the god of the sun, Ar, master of Ra. Later on in history, more animals and humans became gods, mainly people and apes. And that is how the world was made.

The Sun
by Laura

Millions of years ago there was no light. Creatures kept bumping into each other and tripping over and it was very hard to find food in the dark. One day they thought that they should do something about it. The hippo looked up at the sky and looked at the stars in the heavens.

"If only someone could up fly and get one, then bring it down, down for us then we will have plenty of light!"Then the bird said:

"I will!" So he flew up and got a star. He flew back down and placed it nicely in the sky. Over time it grew bigger and bigger and they called it the sun.

In The Beginning
by Prudence

In the beginning there was all darkness and no light at all until.......the legendary Wontie was born from an egg which came from the sky! When Wontie opened his mouth, light came streaming out. No plants grew until....Wontie stamped he feet then plants of all different sizes began to grow. There was no flowers or trees until...... Wontie clapped his hands then wonderful flowers began to grow and there were yellow daisies, red roses, and  tulips too. It was very colourful and wonderful too. There was no water until ......Wontie shook his head and wonderful clear blue springs came up and he also made the sea while he was at it. Then when he was nearly finished he made the animals and reptiles and insects too. He made fruit by touching his hair, and last of all he made two Aboriginal people. After this he disappeared never to be seen again. The population of people grew and then white men came.

So that's the end of my story.

My creation story
by Isabelle P

Once there was nothing but darkness, people, animals and a giant egg. None of the people knew how to open the giant egg. So one time
when all of the people were sleeping the egg cracked opened an light
spilled out everywhere and woke up all the people Immediately, inside the egg was a baby when the people saw the baby they decided to call it God. After a while quite a bit of water started flowing around, between and through the lands. After two weeks God was quite big. After four weeks God was too big to fit in earth so the people lifted God above the so he could watch over them over the years. So when someone died they would join God above the sky. One day God shook his head in shame and said: "Why do people have to see me, so I shall make myself invisible except for my eyes."So God clapped his hands and his eyes became the stars at night time and were hidden in the day time beneath the clouds. The next day God said:"Now I am lonely what shall I do?" So God thought for the next few days then came up with idea and said:"I shall be able to speak to people up in the heavens but they shall not see me still." So God clapped his hands twice and those exact words came true.
