Boys in 4M '99 combined their individual thoughts to create one poem.

We would tell our sons.

....because we were inspired to write down our thoughts after we read

Rudyard Kipling's poem IF.

Try to be cheerful and willing to help even if you do not want to do the task given you.

In everything you do try your hardest even if it is something you don't like doing.

Get fit and you will be a good sportsperson and a good man.

Don't spit the dummy because that gets you nowhere in life.

Don't be shy or otherwise you will never meet new people.

You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it.

Watch out for people who like look they could hurt you.

Always be kind and caring to others who are in need.

Don't boast about advantages that others don't have.

Don't blame other people for things you have done.

Treat your parents well, as wll as you treat yourself.

Have good friends then bad things won't happen.

Think of those who are less fortunate than you.

Be good to people even if they are bad to you.

Critising another destroys a piece of yourself.

Try to teach people who hurt you a better way.

Respect everyone and they will respect you.

Don't hassle the driver or the car will crash.

Never take things that don't belong to you.

Enjoy your life and do lots of good things.

Be confident in everything you do.

Stand up for yourself and others.

Money is good but spend it well.

Good friends are the best friends.

Respect other people's property.

Be kind and you'll be respected.

A good heart gives a good start.

Always look before you leap.

Don't argue with your mum.

Double check your work.

Accept all other people.

Be good sports person.

Cope with one another.

Drink plenty of fluids.

Have good manners.

Always have hope.

Share problems.

Don't complain.

Don't interrupt.

Have courage,

and

Stay within Santa's reach.

Students in 4M ....

imagined themselves in 70 years time and wrote about the things they had accomplished in their lives.

They also drew self portraits and answered this very important question.

What good advice would you give to children ?

Grandma Jess would tell her children to be helpful and not to fight and to be whatever they wanted to be.

grandpanick.jpg (69094 bytes)

Old Grandpa Nicholas would tell his children not to take drugs and work to become a doctor, but it will be hard yet a fun thing to achieve.

grannydanny.jpg (56940 bytes)

Granny Danny would tell her children to go to school, study hard and to never never give up on their dreams.

grannyizz.jpg (60452 bytes)
