8. RESPONSE - Jesus forgives us and we should forgive others
Luke 13:2-3
Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."
Acts 2:37-39
When the people heard this, they
were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles,
"Brothers, what shall we do?"
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so
that your sins may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of
the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for
all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will
call."
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you wil be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Hebrews 2:2-3
For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
