and daredevil flier on the broom stick.
The one that didn't get
away! The day that the prize didn't get away, John Peters
hoofing off with the prize before the rest of us could mug
him.
Witch
target? Horrie, our Shotgun Captain in preparation for a shotgun
event. Was he going to be the target?
Black powder
Shotgun. During long shooting matches with black powder breech
loading shotguns, the barrels can get so hot that you cannot
hold the barrels with thick leather gloves. The black powder muzzleloading shotguns get to cool off
between shots as it takes 5-10 minutes to reload. Nitro shotguns don't have this problem.
"Stairway to Heaven" Shooting shotgun from atop the "Stairway To Heaven"
platform.
"Stairway to Heaven" #2 Tom Potter, the Club's President from '91-'95, firing
from the "Stairway to Heaven" platform. The clays are
launched either from the trap house in front of and left of
picture, or from a trap below and behind the shooter under
the stairs which the clays fly out from between your feet,
or thirdly, a trap set in a high tower behind and to the
left of the picture which the clays fly overhead.

Just pipped to second place by Slim Dusty in a radio country
& western singing competition many years ago, he is
still the life of parties around the camp fire at the
