So I'm a Goth - you wanna
make something of it? I used to be a Mod for a time, but with my musical
interests, and my discovery that sharp, hard dressing was not incompatible
with Goth, I jumped in wholeheartedly. I started my club days in 1989,
a little too late for "Inferno" and just in time for the opening of
"Sanctuary". I rarely go out these days. The smoke at clubs does my
lungs in and despite my job, money is scarcer on the ground than ever.
Goth is more than a fashion statement for me, it's a lifestyle, and
it's something I carry inside me always. I can happily be lying in
the sun at the beach while abstractly thinking about the Marquis de
Sade, John Donne, the Rosicrucians or the Great Cthulhu. I sometimes
shiver on the warmest of days!
