Wine Regions
Australia's wine regions are currently having their boundaries enshrined
in law, to conform to the European Union's rules on Geographic Indication.
For an up to date picture of which regions have been determined, see Brian
Allen's Wine Regions
page. This has data up to May 1998 from the Australian Wine
and Brandy Corporation (AWBC).
At this stage, some contentious regions such as Coonawarra have not
yet been entered into the Register of Protected Names.
