Kalypso Shortcomings
Bank Delegation (on the K2 panel.
Functionality here seems to change with each Major Software Version number. A "K2" (compact) control panel has two physical Banks which can be delegated to control the four Mix/Effects rows. In version 2, you could delegate both Banks to the same M/E, and changes on one Bank would be replicated on the other one. Later software versions introduced various bugs, such as when both were delegated to the same M/E, the first-delegated Bank would select a different source than the one you pressed. Now, if you delegate the same M/E, the first-delegated Bank turns off. Yes, off! How dumb is that? What needs to happen is for it to go back to the way it was in version 2: Delegating both Banks to the same M/E is permissible (and preferably bug-free). This would even allow the possibility of delegating one Bank to the Primary Partition of an M/E, and the other Bank to the Secondary Partition.
Come to think of it, how about a menu for Bank Delegation? You could then allow the M/E Bank to be delegated to the PP row (not possible on the main panel, as there's no button for it). This way, you could have the M/E Bank controlling the PP Secondary Partition and the PP Bank switching the Primary Partition.
