Welcome to my Website!
I used to have this hosted at fisher.brad.com, which was really cool since my name is Brad Fisher.
You can't imagine how annoyed I am that I can't use that address anymore.
It had been a while since I updated anything here, but I'm trying to add new things.
I'm currently trying to write the site using pure HTML and CSS,
but it's not as easy as it sounds. In the meantime, enjoy what I have here for you.
Instructions:
Try pressing "F11" in your browser to operate in Full Screen mode - it will look a bit better. Pressing "F11" again will return the display to normal.
Always come to this page first. If you're interested in the pictures, this page will indicate which one currently is being shown, in "Now Showing", to the right. If I add new tips or entries, I'll mention it in "Late News".
Your first visit should include the "About Me" page to get a feel for navigating the site, as well as seeing who I am. If you find anything screwy, whether content or appearance, please please let me know. (Of course, I'm talking about the site, not myself.) Browsers display things differently, so it won't always look exactly as I intended for all of you. I'm not able to check this in a Safari browser, so Mac users, tell me how it looks!
Explore! I hope it's interesting and informative. My sense of humour permeates the site; I hope it doesn't put you off. Contact me if you have any suggestions for improvements, or ideas for inclusion.
The Gallery showcases a Kalypso from somewhere in the world, mainly to show how others have mounted their Menu, Remote Aux panel, keyboard/mouse etc, how much deskspace they have etc. If you want to be famous, send me a picture of yours and any relevant information, and I might make a spectacle of you. This page will let you know who is currently being shown.
The clickable buttons in this site require you to click on the text, not the button image. Some things look like buttons, but they're just pictures.

Hang on ... what's a Kalypso?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that. Kalypso is the Trade Marked name of a Vision Switcher made by Thomson/Grass Valley. A Vision Switcher takes the pictures from cameras, videotapes, graphics and special effects devices and combines them all into the program that you're watching, often live as-it-happens. If you can imagine what the Sound Engineer does mixing audio from microphones, tape recordings, sound effects and musical instruments, you have a fair idea of the role of the Vision Switcher. Only a Vision Switcher does it without the drugs. (Sorry, there's that humour I spoke about.)
