What does being a French/Creole mean?
Does it mean you're a pseudo/quasi french guy with black skin? Who is neither straight
french nor straight black nor straight anything else but a melange a mixture of all that is good (or bad?) in this world?
Does it mean exploring other Creole cultures and identities to understand what is means to be a creole.
Does Martinique, Haiti, French West Indies, Antilles, Louisiana, New Orleans, Creole cultures in Brazil and other places
do they have a part to play. I will be exploring these and many other questions in this page.
Does anybody out there have a recipe for Mazavarou? It is made I think from pounded/ground extremely hot chillies, tiny
chevrettes (shrimps), salt and lots of oil. It was red in colour. I used it for spreading on toast as a snack. Very hot and very delicious.
Fishy, hot and yummy.
