Ash's 900

Over the past few months the online evolution of Ash's black 900 and Bart's blue 900 was documented on the website below. You can check the thread on 'Large Format Photography Forum' here:

The first test shot I made with Ash's 900 is shown below.   If you'd like to see 'The Razzle in Action', click here....

As you can see, the inset above is just a small part of the original image previous to that.......Can a rangefinder be so accurate so as to allow a walk up shot like this at f8?

Once again, this inset of the previous shot shows the amazing results achieved from using 4x5 large format film.  Exposure was guessed  (overcast Melbourne day) as was the development.  Rangefinder accuracy is once again  responsible......the trick is to be able to grind the cam to accurately compliment the 150mm f5.6 Fujinon W at all distances.

Episode 20 of this adventure has been documented by Ashley.  It has always been my belief that excellent results can be achieved from a simple, lightweight, handheld full frame 4x5 LF camera, free of BS, patents, outrageous claims and high cost!

I  recently read that a certain alternative is the only 'parallax corrected 4x5 camera in the world'  and exhibits 'perfect parallelism'   These statements are quite misleading,  as all converted Polaroid cameras have this ability............

A pic of the Dynamic Duo,  manufactured at the same time....A blue 900 for Bart and a black 900 for Ash.

Bart's blue 900 captured this Landcruiser with a typical Australian message!
